Loaded Guns and Wildflowers

So, I was just reading about the changes to the credit card industry- yes, it concerns me greatly. I'm pleased to see that something is being done, though I'm not sure (as usual) this completely gets to the root of the problem. Case in point- if one of my (ahem, several) credit card companies sent me a letter informing me the rate would be changing in 45 days- I'm not sure what I would do. I'd more than likely be at the mercy of the company regardless.

Of course, now with tougher restrictions on the cards, I'd be even less likely to find another card that I could transfer this balance to- which in addition would more than likely raise my credit score as I seek a lower percentage...yes, a downward spiral of credit. See, I'm just not sure this solves the bigger issue of why I (and everyone else) has plastic.

But this isn't the funny part- I was reading the article on yahoo and I got to the bottom and read this-

"Included in the bill is an unrelated measure by Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., that would allow people to bring loaded guns into national parks and wildlife refuges."

(Record Skips)

Wait, what? How did this end up included? And why in the world might you need a loaded gun in a national park? I once almost was arrested for drinking a beer on the Blue Ridge Parkway (no, I wasn't driving, thank you very much)...so beer is bad, but loaded guns are necessary. Not to mention, skateboarding and rollerskating is prohibited on the parkway. Oh yeah, and I quote, "picking wildflowers is prohibited."
